What is the difference between this book and the red book?
The books are complementary and intended for different purposes. The table of contents shows each book includes different content.
The red book is more about everyday care and information about caring for person with specific conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease. In the blue book there are 19 clinical tasks included and new helpful information at the end including scope of practice, ISBAR for reporting, documentation etc. Whereas the blue book is about clinical tasks that a care worker may assist a consumer with such as taking their blood pressure or collecting a urine sample. The blue book goes through these tasks including the steps involved and when to contact their care coordinator.
